HFA Celebrates ECHS Class of 2021

On June 4, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. our trail-blazing, very first 8th grade class of Heritage Flex Academy graduated from Escondido Charter High School. The faculty and staff are so unbelievably proud of each one and count it a privilege to have been there for a piece of the beautiful story they are writing with their lives. Those kids from the tiny school that began in 2016 will go on to do big things. Hard things. Overcome challenges with grit and tenacity. I would like to thank our 2016 founding 8th grade teachers Mrs. Kelly Beck and Mrs. Sandy Nichols who led these scholars through the final year of middle school and prepared them for college, career, and life.

Pictured above left to right: Bernice Yphantides (2021 Valedictorian), Seth Gist, Isabel Langat, Jameson Fullwood, Espen Jacobsen, Hayden McDonald, Alan Ding (2021 Salutatorian), and Blake Brown. Graduating on June 11 from ECHS 1:1 program and not pictured are Rory Simpson and Katherine Jimenez. These impressive young adults have plans to go on to various career technical paths, serve in our nation's military armed forces, and colleges and universities such as Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Providence Christian College, Gettysburg College, University of California San Diego, San Jose State University, CSU San Marcos, and Palomar College to name a few. Congratulations ECHS Class of 2021!!
